At Identidad Tech, we've spent over 25 years building telecom infrastructure for carriers and enterprises worldwide — Voice, SMS, Cloud Numbering, and Managed Services — from two hubs in Miami and Bogotá. We move billions of messages and minutes a year through markets most providers only reach through intermediaries, or don't reach at all. Africa is one of those markets, and right now, it's a blank page: no legacy playbook, no existing team to inherit from. You'd be the one writing it.
What you'll do
Define and execute Identidad's SMS/A2P product strategy and roadmap for Africa — from scratch.
Source, negotiate, and manage carrier relationships across the continent — pricing, capacity, and commercial terms that directly shape our routing.
Chase down quality issues and cost inefficiencies across your vendor base before they become client-facing problems.
Scout and secure the network capacity needed to enter new African markets.
Feed market intelligence — regulatory shifts, operator changes, pricing moves — back to the rest of the business.
Partner closely with Sales to match the right clients to the right opportunities on the continent.
Requirements
4+ years of hands-on experience in SMS/A2P procurement or carrier relations.
Direct, provable experience managing carrier relationships in Africa — you know the vendors, the regulators, and the market quirks by name.
A real track record of finding and closing growth opportunities, not just maintaining what's already there.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills — comfortable prioritizing across a large, varied vendor portfolio.
Advanced English, spoken and written.
Based in Africa preferred; open to candidates elsewhere with demonstrable regional experience.
