Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a SAP ABAP HANA Consultant based in Bengaluru South. The consultant will design, develop, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP on HANA, including reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms. Daily responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements, creating technical specifications, and implementing optimized code leveraging HANA features such as CDS views and AMDP. The role involves troubleshooting and performance tuning, collaborating with functional consultants and business stakeholders, and supporting testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. The consultant will also document solutions, follow established development standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of SAP development practices.
Qualifications
Strong SAP ABAP development skills, including classic ABAP, object-oriented programming, and experience with reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
Hands-on expertise in SAP HANA-related development, such as CDS views, AMDP, SQL scripting, and performance optimization in HANA-based environments.
Experience working with SAP functional modules (e.g., FI, MM, SD, PP) and ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Proficiency in debugging, unit testing, and performance tuning, with careful attention to code quality and adherence to SAP best practices.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle, change management, and transport processes in SAP landscapes.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on-site.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience as a SAP ABAP or SAP HANA Consultant in implementation or support projects; SAP certifications are an advantage.
Ability to adapt to dynamic project requirements, manage priorities, and deliver to timelines in a fast-paced environment.
