Forward Deployed Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a technical delivery role at an early-stage AI fintech startup, sitting at the intersection of customer success and product engineering. You will own the full lifecycle of deploying AI-driven fund accounting and private-market operations workflows, from initial discovery with customer teams through to production launch. What you learn in the field feeds directly back into the core product, making this role central to how the platform evolves.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage end-to-end technical delivery across the full project lifecycle, from discovery through production launch.
- Work directly with customer operations teams to map existing workflows and identify adoption barriers.
- Convert customer processes into AI-driven workflows on the platform.
- Build customer-tailored prototypes, iterate quickly, and adjust scope based on real-world feedback.
- Bring deployment insights back into product development planning.
- Develop reusable components and standardized approaches from patterns observed across deployments.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 1 to 6 years of experience shipping production software, with strong TypeScript/Node.js skills (NestJS, Postgres/Prisma, React).
- Hands-on experience in a forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical role.
- Ability to own technical delivery end-to-end, from scoping through go-live.
- Genuine empathy for and understanding of private-market or financial operations workflows.
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving founding team in person.
- Background in private markets or financial operations is a strong plus.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary: 70,000 to 110,000 EUR annually, depending on experience.
- Visa sponsorship: Available.
LOCATION
On-site in Berlin, Germany. Regular in-person collaboration with the founding team is expected.
