SAP PPQM consultant

Role Description The SAP PPQM Consultant will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules to support manufacturing and quality processes. Day-to-day tasks include gathering business requirements, performing system analysis, designing solutions, and executing configurations and enhancements within SAP PPQM. The role involves creating and maintaining master data, supporting production planning and execution, handling quality inspection processes, and ensuring integration with related SAP modules. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide end-user training, prepare documentation, and handle incident and change management activities. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Kolkata Area.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in SAP PP (Production Planning) configuration, including master data, MRP, production orders, routings, and capacity planning.
Hands-on experience in SAP QM (Quality Management), including inspection plans, quality notifications, results recording, and usage decision.
Ability to analyze business processes, gather requirements, design solutions, and prepare functional specifications for enhancements and interfaces.
Experience with integration of PP and QM with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and FI/CO.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, incident management, and providing user support and training for SAP PPQM processes.
Strong documentation skills for process flows, configuration guides, test cases, and user manuals.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with operations, quality, and IT stakeholders on-site.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; SAP certification in PP or QM is an advantage.
Prior experience in manufacturing or process industry environments and knowledge of production and quality standards are beneficial.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to evolving business and project requirements.
