Dakota Veterinary Center is looking for a Veterinary Technician Manager to lead and develop our technician and veterinary assistant team while still remaining connected to hands-on patient care.
This isn’t a desk-only management position. We’re looking for a leader who enjoys developing people, improving workflow, setting strong clinical standards, and jumping in alongside the team when needed.

What You'll Do
You’ll help lead the day-to-day success of our technician and assistant team, including:
Coaching, mentoring, and developing technicians and veterinary assistants
Supporting onboarding and hands-on clinical training
Creating clear expectations and accountability across the team
Coordinating daily workflow, staffing, and patient care needs
Helping technicians utilize and grow their clinical skills
Maintaining strong medical, safety, and patient-care standards
Improving efficiency and communication between our doctors and support team
Supporting anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, treatments, and patient care
Stepping onto the floor and working alongside your team when needed
Who We're Looking For
You may already be a Technician Manager, Lead LVT, Technician Supervisor, or experienced LVT who is ready for more leadership responsibility.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Current New York State Veterinary Technician licensure
Strong hands-on veterinary technician experience
Leadership, supervisory, training, or mentorship experience
Confidence with anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
Experience with dentistry and dental radiography
Strong venipuncture, IV catheter, laboratory, radiology, and patient-care skills
The ability to coach others while also holding people accountable
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits
$35.00–$38.00 per hour, based on experience.
