What You’ll Do
As an LVT at East Village Animal Clinic, you’ll have the opportunity to use your technical and nursing skills throughout the day, including:
Supporting doctors during appointments and examinations
Providing treatments and high-quality nursing care
Performing venipuncture and IV catheter placement
Administering medications and treatments
Preparing patients for surgical procedures
Monitoring anesthesia and supporting patient recovery
Assisting with surgical procedures
Performing in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging
Educating and communicating with pet parents
Maintaining accurate medical records
Collaborating closely with doctors and fellow team members
Experience with dentistry is a plus, but it is not required.
What We’re Looking For
Current New York State Veterinary Technician license
Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology
Strong general practice experience
Confidence with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, treatments, and patient nursing
Experience with surgery and anesthesia monitoring
Strong communication and client-service skills
A collaborative, team-oriented approach
Dependability and the ability to confidently jump in and support the team
A genuine commitment to thoughtful, compassionate patient care
Benefits & Compensation
Compensation: $27–$35/hour, based on experience and skill set
Schedule: We are primarily looking for a full-time LVT who can work a combination of weekdays. There is no set schedule to start, and we are open to discussing the exact schedule based on your availability and experience.
