Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager

2. About the Opportunity:
The Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager supports the preparation and accuracy of public financial filings, including Form 10-Q and Form 10-K. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards by managing complex accounting areas such as stock compensation, pensions, and purchase accounting. The position also leads projects, supervises team members, and coordinates cross-group initiatives to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.
3. Responsibilities:
Interpret and apply accounting policies according to US GAAP.
Document accounting conclusions, policies, and performance clearly.
Develop subject matter expertise in pensions, derivatives, stock compensation, purchase/divestiture accounting, goodwill and intangible impairment, cash flow, and foreign currency.
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Organize and prioritize multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
Propose and implement improvements to the accounting processes.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
4. Requirements:
Typically eight years of accounting experience or six years of public accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
US Citizenship.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency with finance and accounting databases and Microsoft applications.
Experience with AI tools to enhance workflow and problem-solving.
Ability to evaluate and responsibly apply emerging technologies.
Desired:
CPA certification preferred.
Experience auditing public clients or corporate accounting in public companies preferred.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range of $140,000 to $155,000 depending on experience.
