Chef de Partie

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat are looking for a skilled and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a casual basis.
This role is essential in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist in preparing and cooking meals to the highest standard, following recipes and maintaining consistency.
Collaborate with and support fellow kitchen team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Take pride in plating and presenting beautifully crafted dishes, ensuring they are served to brand standards.
Assist the Chef in Charge with preparing back-of-house rosters.
Oversee stock control and ensure the safe and proper storage of food and kitchen supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including equipment and storage.
Contribute to the development of new menu items in partnership with the Head Chef.
Shift Details (subject to change):
Casual position available.
Part-time or full-time positions may also be available, depending on business requirements.
Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday
Shifts may include breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):
Monday - Friday: $40.16 per hour
Saturday: $48.20 per hour
Sunday: $56.23 per hour
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Certificate III in Cookery qualification.
Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for cooking.
Flexibility to work across all service periods as per the roster: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
