Role Description This is a full-time remote Care Worker role supporting individuals in Northumberland. The Care Worker will provide person-centered care, including assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring individuals are treated with dignity and respect. Day-to-day tasks may include offering emotional support, monitoring wellbeing, maintaining accurate care records, and communicating regularly with service users, families, and the wider care team. The role involves following care plans, responding to changing needs, and escalating concerns when necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of each person. The Care Worker will also collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to provide person-centered care, including supporting dignity, respect, and independence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with service users, families, and colleagues.
Organizational and time management skills to manage care tasks and documentation reliably.
Empathy, patience, and resilience when supporting individuals with varying needs and backgrounds.
Basic digital literacy to use remote communication tools and electronic care records.
Previous experience in care, support work, or community services is beneficial but not essential.
Relevant care-related training or certifications (such as health and social care qualifications) are an advantage.
Ability to work independently, follow care plans, and adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality standards.
