About the Role
We're looking for an Experience Cloud Engineer to build and support the portals our customers and partners rely on. You'll work in a regulated environment where security, data access, and auditability matter, and you'll connect portals to internal systems. You'll partner with business analysts, QA, security, and integration teams, and you should be able to own features from requirements through release with light guidance. Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders is a core part of the job.
Key Responsibilities
Technical delivery
Design, build, and enhance Experience Cloud sites using LWR and Aura templates
Develop LWCs, Apex classes, triggers, and Flows, and optimize SOQL queries and component performance
Configure external access with sharing sets, sharing rules, permission sets, and guest user security
Implement SSO (SAML/OIDC) and MFA for external users
Build REST/SOAP integrations with internal and third-party systems, including e-signature tools and middleware such as MuleSoft, using Platform Events where real-time sync is needed
Build portal features such as case submission, document upload, account dashboards, and knowledge search
Manage data migration and cleanup for portal users and accounts
Deploy through Git-based CI/CD (Gearset, Copado, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
Troubleshoot production issues and support releases
Communication and collaboration
Run requirements and gap analysis sessions, and turn business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Explain technical trade-offs and risks in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
Give regular, proactive status updates and raise blockers early
Write clear technical documentation, including low-level designs, runbooks, and release notes
Run demos and UAT, and gather user feedback
Conduct code reviews and coach junior developers
Work with security and compliance teams on access reviews and audits
Required Qualifications
4 to 6 years of Salesforce development, with 3+ years on Experience Cloud
Strong Apex, LWC, SOQL, and JavaScript skills
Solid knowledge of the Salesforce security model, external user licenses, and portal sharing
Experience with REST integrations and Salesforce APIs
Git and CI/CD experience
Platform Developer I certification
Excellent written and verbal communication, including stakeholder-facing experience
Ability to work on-site in Wilmington on hybrid days
Preferred Qualifications
Experience Cloud Consultant and Platform Developer II certifications
MuleSoft or other middleware experience
Experience in financial services, banking, insurance, or another regulated industry
Agile/Scrum experience
