Scoobycares delivers comprehensive veterinary and clinic management software designed to streamline daily operations for animal health providers. Its SaaS platform supports appointment scheduling, electronic medical records, billing and invoicing, and multi-branch clinic management.
Role Description
The Developer Intern will work remotely with Scoobycares, based in Karnataka, India. This is a hands-on opportunity to explore a real veterinary SaaS platform and grow as a full-stack developer — no prior professional experience required, just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
The intern will get exposure across the stack: building and styling front-end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and contributing to backend features and APIs using Django and PostgreSQL. Day-to-day work includes writing and testing code, fixing bugs, using Git and GitHub for version control, and working directly with the founder on new features and improvements to the platform.
This is an unpaid internship. Interns who show strong performance and impact may be offered a stipend at the founder's discretion — this is not guaranteed and is based purely on the quality of work delivered.
Qualifications
Basic understanding of front-end development — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Core exposure to Python and Django.
Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control.
Curiosity about databases — PostgreSQL experience is required.
Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and explore a real-world codebase — more important than prior professional experience.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent self-learning).
Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely with regular check-ins.
Personal projects, GitHub contributions, or a portfolio are a strong plus.
