Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Design, build, and maintain AI/ML-powered applications in Python.
2. Develop LLM-based features such as document understanding, summarisation, extraction, and conversational assistants for insurance workflows.
3. Build and improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation [RAG] pipelines, including data ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, and prompt design.
4. Deploy, monitor, and scale models and AI services on AWS.
5. Build and integrate REST APIs that expose AI capabilities to products and client systems.
6. Evaluate model and LLM outputs for accuracy, relevance, latency, and cost, and improve them over time.
7. Work with relational, NoSQL, and vector databases.
8. Read existing code and make improvements independently with light guidance.
9. Debug and fix issues across application and AI stack.
10. Follow good practices for version control, testing, and documentation.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years hands-on software dev with at least recent 1+ years on AI/ML or LLM-based projects[Mandatory]
- Strong Python[Mandatory]
- Hands-on LLM APIs/platforms - OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Llama, Mistral[Mandatory]
- Practical RAG using LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar[Mandatory]
- Familiarity with embeddings and vector DBs - Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, pgvector, Weaviate, OpenSearch[Mandatory]
- Understanding of prompt engineering & LLM evaluation[Mandatory]
- Experience deploying models/services to production - FastAPI/Flask, Docker, Lambda, ECS, SageMaker[Mandatory]
- Working knowledge AWS - EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS/ECR + REST APIs[Mandatory]
- Experience with Databases - PostgreSQL/MySQL/DynamoDB, Git, Linux & shell scripting[Mandatory]
- Strong debugging and problem-solving[Mandatory]
