Role Description The Junior Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mohali district. The Junior Engineer will assist in planning, designing, and executing solar power projects, including site surveys, technical drawings, and basic calculations under the guidance of senior engineers. Daily activities may include coordinating with project teams, vendors, and contractors, supporting installation and commissioning work, and helping ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, maintaining project records, and contributing to troubleshooting and performance optimization of solar systems.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of electrical or mechanical engineering principles, preferably related to power systems or renewable energy.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and basic design documents.
Proficiency with common engineering and office software (e.g., MS Office; exposure to CAD or similar tools is an advantage).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and basic troubleshooting skills for technical issues on-site.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with field staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Attention to detail, willingness to work on-site in field conditions, and commitment to safety standards and procedures.
Relevant degree or diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline); internship or project experience in solar or power sector is a plus.
Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance from senior engineers, and adapt to project timelines and priorities.
