Role Description The Deputy Manager Human Resources will oversee and support core HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives. This full-time on-site role, based in Pen, will involve partnering with business leaders to identify workforce needs, manage talent pipelines, and ensure adherence to HR policies and labor regulations. The role will coordinate training and development programs, support compensation and benefits administration, and assist in succession planning. The Deputy Manager will also handle employee relations, address grievances, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing HR reports and dashboards, maintaining accurate HR records, and participating in continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Qualifications
Strong skills in recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes, with experience managing end-to-end hiring for multiple roles and levels.
Proficiency in performance management, goal setting, and appraisal systems, including experience with feedback mechanisms and improvement plans.
Experience in employee engagement, HR operations, and employee relations, including conflict resolution and grievance handling.
Knowledge of compensation and benefits, HR policies, and compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements.
Ability to coordinate training, learning and development initiatives, and support succession planning and career development programs.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, including working with HRIS tools, MS Excel, and HR dashboards for data-driven decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or MBA in HR is an advantage.
Prior experience in an HR managerial or supervisory role, preferably in manufacturing or large-scale industrial environments.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical and inclusive HR
