About the Role
As GM – Design | Head of Design Function, you will lead the entire design function at Flipspaces and set the creative, technical, and execution standards across our commercial interior projects.
You will own design quality, team capability, process excellence, client experience, and design-to-execution handover across cities and project typologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and own the overall Design Function, setting creative direction, quality benchmarks, and review frameworks.
Define and standardise the design process from client brief → concept → developed design → technical drawings → execution handover.
Build and maintain a comprehensive Design Playbook, including templates, specifications, material libraries, drawing standards, and handover checklists.
Review and approve design outputs before client presentations, ensuring quality, completeness, and alignment with the brief.
Build, mentor, and develop the design team, including Designers and Senior Interior Designers.
Lead senior-level client presentations and manage design feedback and expectations.
Drive seamless design-to-execution handovers, ensuring all project information is complete and execution-ready.
Manage design timelines across multiple projects and ensure milestones are delivered without impacting procurement or execution.
Drive innovation across space planning, materials, technology integration, and sustainable design.
Partner with BD and Pre-Sales teams to develop compelling design concepts and pitch presentations.

What We’re Looking For
12–18 years of experience in commercial interior design, with 3–5+ years leading a design team or function.
Strong portfolio across corporate, co-working, enterprise, or large-scale commercial interiors.
Strong understanding of design development, technical detailing, materials, and execution requirements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Enscape.
Excellent client presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and design timelines.
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
