Responsibilities
A Senior Java Engineer with a focus on Azure Cloud as a mandatory skill should possess a blend of technical proficiency and leadership capabilities. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining large-scale backend systems using Java and the JVM ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:
Design and implement scalable Java services and APIs that handle high-volume production traffic.
Lead technical design reviews and write design documents for new systems and significant features.
Conduct thorough code reviews focused on correctness, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with product and architecture teams to turn business requirements into production-grade software.
Mentor junior engineers and set standards for technical quality across complex systems.
This role requires deep knowledge of Java frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud, as well as experience with cloud architecture certifications (AWS, Azure). The focus remains on complex architectural integrity, JVM performance tuning, and distributed systems design, which are essential in the microservices.
