Business Systems Application Engineer

Business Systems Solutions delivers bespoke and 3rd party solutions that drive operational efficiency, scalability and technical resilience across the enterprise. The team leverages cutting-edge platforms to integrate, automate and optimise key business workflows.
You will support a diverse portfolio of applications and guide users through critical technical challenges. Working across hybrid environments, you will perform in-depth root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate directly with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless platform performance.
In this role, you will provide an on-call capability as part of a rota, to support key applications out of hours.
This role is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid work from home policy.
Proven track record supporting SaaS, cloud-based architectures and enterprise systems
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capability across complex application environments
Practical knowledge of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, patches and system integration
Demonstrated stakeholder management skills across diverse technical and operational disciplines
Sound technical judgement when resolving critical incidents and assessing system risks
Solid understanding of vendor management principles and 3rd party service level agreements
