AI Lead /Architect

We are looking for an AI Lead / Architect to drive the technical direction of an AI Engineering pod while remaining hands-on. This role is approximately 50% hands-on development and 50% architecture, technical leadership, and mentorship.
The ideal candidate will have strong Python backend engineering, hands-on Generative AI/LLM experience, and proven experience building production-grade agentic workflows using LangChain/LangGraph.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Own the technical direction and architecture for the AI Engineering pod.
Spend ~50% of the time writing production code across AI backend services, LLM orchestration, APIs, and frontend integration.
Design and build agentic experiences (AX) with streaming and low-latency agent interactions.
Lead architecture/design reviews and make key technical decisions.
Mentor Senior Engineers and Data Engineers within the pod.
Partner closely with Security, Data, and Infrastructure teams and US-based product/engineering counterparts.
Establish strong observability, SLOs, reliability, and production engineering standards.
🔹 Required Technical Skills
12+ years of software engineering experience with ownership of complex backend systems.
5+ years of strong Python experience for backend services and AI integration.
1–2+ years of production Generative AI/LLM platform experience using LangChain, LangGraph, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with LangChain + LangGraph for multi-step/multi-agent workflows.
Experience with LangSmith for LLM evaluation and observability.
3–4+ years of React + TypeScript with the ability to contribute to and review frontend code.
Strong experience with AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform/OpenTofu, and production-scale microservices.
Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, authentication/authorization, secure coding, and data governance
