Cloud and Platform Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for a hands-on Cloud & Platform Infrastructure Engineer to support the infrastructure behind an enterprise AI Platform.
The role focuses on designing, operating, securing, and continuously improving Azure and AWS cloud environments across PoC, Non-Production, and Production. You will work across cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, security, automation, reliability, and operational readiness, ensuring that platform environments remain secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant.
This is an infrastructure engineering and operations position rather than an application development role, requiring strong hands-on expertise and the ability to independently manage infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation.
Your tasks
Managing Azure and AWS environments supporting enterprise AI Platform services across PoC, Non-Production, and Production
Designing and maintaining secure, scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure solutions
Supporting capacity planning, resiliency, disaster recovery, and high-availability requirements
Managing cloud networking, routing, firewalls, DNS, private endpoints, and secure connectivity patterns
Supporting hybrid connectivity between cloud platforms and enterprise environments
Troubleshooting infrastructure, network, performance, and connectivity issues across platform components
Managing Entra ID integrations, service principals, managed identities, role assignments, and access models
Implementing least-privilege access controls and supporting identity governance and audit activities
Developing and maintaining Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code automation
Standardizing infrastructure deployments and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines
Implementing monitoring, alerting, backup, resilience, and recovery processes for production environments
Supporting vulnerability remediation, security improvements, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience operating enterprise cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS
Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
Practical knowledge of cloud networking, connectivity, DNS, firewalls, and private networking architectures
Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, IAM, service principals, and managed identities
Proven background supporting production-grade cloud services and business-critical platforms
Knowledge of cloud security principles, access controls, and infrastructure governance
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities across infrastructure and networking domains
Ability to independently manage infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation
Security-first mindset with strong attention to reliability and operational readiness
Effective collaboration with Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and other technical teams
Proactive approach to automation, standardization, maintainability, and continuous improvement
Good command of spoken and written English (minimum B2 level) and ability to work with international stakeholders
Nice to have
Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, APIM, or other enterprise AI platforms
Familiarity with AWS Bedrock and AI-related AWS cloud services
Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements
Exposure to observability platforms and cloud monitoring solutions
Understanding of enterprise platform operations and shared-service environments
Prior familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud enterprise architectures
Background in supporting AI/ML infrastructure or technology platforms
