Food Scientist / Product Development Specialist (Bakery)

Role Description The Food Scientist / Product Development Specialist (Bakery) will work full time on-site at our Gurugram location. This role involves developing and refining bakery products, including cheesecakes, cakes, and other baked goods, from concept to final recipe. Daily responsibilities include conducting trials, standardizing formulations, performing sensory evaluations, and documenting processes and results. The specialist will collaborate with the production and quality teams to ensure product consistency, shelf life stability, and adherence to food safety standards. The role also includes researching new ingredients, techniques, and trends to continuously improve the dessert menu and support scaling from test batches to commercial production.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in bakery product development or food formulation.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Baking Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of dough chemistry, yeast performance, emulsifiers, fats, and shelf-life stability testing.
Mindset: Problem-solver with a strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Location: Sector 37, Gurgaon.
