Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and scale Python backend services and APIs for the PA automation.
Build reliable data pipelines and integrations with EMRs, SFTP and internal systems.
Work on AI-driven document processing and structured data extraction.
Implement performance optimisations, caching strategies, and fault-tolerant design.
Collaborate with AI/ML and frontend teams on architecture, APIs, and data contracts.
Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and best engineering practices.
Contribute to system observability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural decision-making.
Requirements:
2 to 5 years of experience building production-grade backend systems.
Strong expertise in Python 3.10+ and async programming.
Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
Proficiency with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore).
Experience with cloud platforms, GCP preferred (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Secret Manager).
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience writing robust unit and integration tests.
Bonus: Experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc. ) into backend workflows.
Understanding of prompt engineering, response parsing, and handling structured/unstructured outputs.
Familiarity with RAG patterns, embeddings, or vector search (FAISS, Pinecone, etc. )
Exposure to document processing pipelines (OCR, PDF parsing, text preprocessing).
