Lead Frontend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Lead or Senior Frontend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As our first UI engineer in India, you will play a critical role in shaping our frontend architecture, engineering standards, and user experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, can execute independently with minimal oversight, and is passionate about building modern, scalable SaaS applications.
You will collaborate closely with global engineering teams to design, build, and maintain high-quality frontend solutions while influencing technical decisions and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of modern, scalable frontend applications.
Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance UI components.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Drive frontend architecture decisions and establish engineering best practices.
Build and maintain microfrontend applications using Module Federation.
Integrate frontend applications with backend-for-frontend (BFF) services.
Ensure application performance, accessibility, security, and responsiveness.
Review code, mentor engineers, and promote engineering excellence.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and continuously improve system reliability.
Work independently and take ownership of key frontend initiatives.
Requirements:
8+ years of professional experience in frontend software engineering.
Strong expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with TanStack Query for server state management.
Experience with TanStack Router for routing in modern React applications.
Strong proficiency with Tailwind CSS and the shadcn/ui component library.
Experience building and maintaining micro frontends using Module Federation.
Experience integrating with Go-based Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services or similar backend architectures.
Deep understanding of frontend architecture, component design, and application scalability.
Experience working with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling.
Strong knowledge of testing, debugging, and frontend performance optimisation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in a distributed global team with minimal supervision.
Experience building enterprise or B2B SaaS platforms.
