As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help build and maintain gameplay and client systems for the Unity game. You will work within a large Unity/C# codebase, contributing to player-facing features, bug fixes, tooling, UI flows, and live-ops support while learning the architecture, engineering practices, and production workflows of a live-service mobile game team.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain gameplay, UI, and client feature work under the guidance of more experienced engineers.
Fix bugs, support live event implementations, and contribute to player-facing systems such as progression, rewards, offers, PvP features, and quality-of-life improvements.
Work with data-driven configurations, localisation content, and existing client systems to help deliver new events and feature updates.
Write clear, maintainable C# code in Unity and follow established engineering patterns and coding standards.
Add and update automated tests for feature logic, data handling, and regression prevention.
Assist with debugging issues found in development, QA, or production, and learn how to use profiling and diagnostic tools effectively.
Collaborate with engineers, QA, product, and design to deliver high-quality features and fixes.
Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and documentation updates as you grow in ownership and technical depth.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional software development experience, internship experience, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency in C# or strong object-orientated programming fundamentals in a similar language.
Exposure to Unity development through professional work, coursework, personal projects, or shipped prototypes is preferred.
Understanding of core software engineering principles, including data structures, debugging, testing, and clean code practices.
Familiarity with gameplay systems, UI implementation, or client-side feature development is a plus.
Interest in mobile development, performance considerations, and production-quality engineering practices.
Exposure to version control, code reviews, and collaborative software development workflows.
Experience writing tests or validating feature behaviour is a plus.
Cross-Functional and Game-Specific Knowledge.
Interest in live-service games, event-driven content, progression systems, monetisation features, or social/player-facing systems.
Willingness to learn how large game teams coordinate across engineering, design, product, QA, and live-ops.
Comfort working in an Agile or iterative team environment.
Soft Skills and Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Eagerness to learn, take feedback well, and grow in a large production codebase.
Positive ownership mindset and attention to quality.
Passion for games and for building great player experiences.
