Senior Software Developer

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Python and Django to build scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have experience designing RESTful APIs, working with PostgreSQL databases, deploying applications on AWS, and implementing Vector Databases for AI-powered search or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) use cases.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
Design efficient PostgreSQL database schemas and optimise queries.
Deploy and manage applications on AWS.
Implement and optimise Vector Database solutions for semantic search and AI applications.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Optimise application performance, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
Requirements:
Must-Have Skills: Python, Django / Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, AWS (EC2 ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3 RDS, IAM, CloudWatch), Vector Databases (e. g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, pgvector, ChromaDB), REST APIs & Microservices, Git, Docker, CI/CD.
Good-to-Have Skills: FastAPI, Redis, Celery, Kubernetes, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, AI/LLM integration, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5-10 years of backend software development experience.
Strong understanding of software design patterns and distributed systems.
Experience with cloud-native application development and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
