About the Role
myVA Rocks is looking for a creative, confident, and proactive Social Media Virtual Assistant to help bring our brands and offerings to life through engaging social content.
This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable both behind and in front of the camera. We’re looking for someone who can take a content idea from start to finish—helping develop the concept, filming or narrating content, editing video, designing supporting graphics, and creating polished assets that are ready to publish.
This person will primarily support promotional content for myVA Rocks and myVA Pro Academy while collaborating across myBook and myAudio to create social media videos and graphics that showcase each offering in a way that feels engaging, authentic, and aligned with our brands.
The Details
Contract: Part-time, 20+ hours/week
Location: 100% remote
Schedule: Flexible, with approximately 20 hours of availability needed during standard U.S. business hours
Rate: $20/hour
Our primary collaboration hours are:
8:00–11:00 AM PST
9:00 AM–12:00 PM MST
10:00 AM–1:00 PM CST
11:00 AM–2:00 PM EST
You’ll need consistent availability during these hours so you can connect with clients when they need you. Additional client availability may vary depending on your assignments.
What You’ll Do
Create engaging short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels and other social channels.
Confidently appear on camera when needed as part of promotional and educational content.
Record voiceovers and narrate social media videos.
Edit short-form videos from start to finish, including pacing, transitions, captions, audio, and other visual elements.
Design polished social media graphics and promotional assets.
Turn ideas, talking points, and existing materials into compelling social content.
Create promotional content for myVA Rocks, myVA Pro Academy, myBook, and myAudio.
Collaborate with internal team members to understand upcoming launches, promotions, priorities, and content needs.
Repurpose existing content into new formats and identify opportunities to get more value from what we've already created.
Help maintain consistency across brand visuals, messaging, and overall content quality.
Stay aware of social media trends and recommend ideas that make sense for our brands rather than simply following trends for the sake of it.
Manage content projects independently and communicate proactively about progress, needs, and deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
The right person is someone who combines creativity with ownership. You can be given an idea or goal and figure out how to turn it into something engaging without needing every step mapped out for you.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Confident on camera and comfortable representing a brand through video.
A strong video editor with experience creating polished short-form content.
Skilled in graphic design with a strong eye for layout, branding, and visual storytelling.
Comfortable recording voiceovers and narration.
Creative and able to develop content ideas rather than only execute what's handed to them.
Familiar with what makes social content engaging, authentic, and relatable.
Detail-oriented, especially when it comes to spelling, branding, captions, formatting, and final quality.
Proactive and comfortable bringing ideas and recommendations to the team.
Organized and able to manage multiple content requests and deadlines.
Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions.
Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new platforms and tools.
Able to work independently while still collaborating closely with a team.
Experience We’d Love to See
4+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated experience in social media, content creation, marketing, or a related area.
A portfolio showcasing short-form video content, editing, and graphic design.
Experience creating Instagram Reels or similar short-form video.
Experience appearing on camera and/or creating voiceover-led content.
Strong experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative platforms.
Experience creating promotional or conversion-focused content is a plus.
Experience working with service-based businesses, digital products, education, courses, or online brands is a plus.
