About the Opportunity
Brooksource is seeking an experienced Business Process Automation Developer to support a large-scale enterprise automation environment. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and improving approximately 130 UiPath automations supporting multiple business units.
This is a hands-on, production-focused opportunity for a developer who enjoys troubleshooting complex automation issues, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term solutions. Beyond traditional RPA development, this role offers exposure to AI-assisted development tools and emerging agentic automation technologies as the organization continues expanding its automation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
UiPath Development & Production Support
Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents across an enterprise UiPath automation portfolio.
Diagnose failures using UiPath Orchestrator logs, queue data, and ServiceNow tickets.
Modify and maintain existing UiPath workflows, including REFramework and queue-driven automations.
Resolve issues involving selectors, credentials, exception handling, data processing, and application integrations.
Test, package, and deploy automation fixes through established development and production environments.
Monitoring & Automation Reliability
Monitor attended and unattended robots through UiPath Orchestrator.
Identify recurring automation failures and implement permanent solutions.
Optimize bot schedules, retry logic, and queue processing.
Maintain documentation of production fixes, recurring issues, and system changes.
Support incident response and resolution within established SLA requirements.
Integrations & Technical Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot integrations involving ServiceNow, enterprise ERP systems, Microsoft 365, SQL databases, SFTP, and other business applications.
Diagnose REST API issues involving authentication, OAuth2, pagination, and API limitations.
Develop diagnostic and automation-support scripts using Python or PowerShell.
Utilize Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD processes to support automation deployments.
AI-Assisted Development & Agentic Automation
Leverage AI coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or UiPath Autopilot to accelerate troubleshooting, development, and documentation.
Support existing LLM-integrated automations and emerging agentic automation initiatives.
Assist with prompt development, testing, and evaluation using LLM APIs.
Contribute to the development of automation standards, monitoring practices, and AI-enabled workflows.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on UiPath development experience, including Studio, Orchestrator, and REFramework.
Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining automations in a production environment.
Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience troubleshooting REST APIs, OAuth2 authentication, and integrations using tools such as Postman.
Working knowledge of VB.NET or C# within UiPath workflows.
Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting.
Familiarity with Git, pull requests, and version control practices.
Hands-on experience utilizing AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent tools for development and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
UiPath Automation Developer Associate or Professional certification.
ServiceNow or other ITSM incident management experience.
Experience with LLM APIs, RAG, or agentic automation.
Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API or enterprise ERP systems.
SQL, Power BI, or DAX experience.
Experience working within government, enterprise, or other regulated environments.
