Senior Software Engineer - Partner Integrations and Origination Platform

2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Software Engineer - Partner Integrations and Origination Platform will design and develop scalable backend systems to streamline and standardize loan origination workflows across different products and partners. This role is critical in enhancing infrastructure reliability and scalability, reducing operational complexity, and enabling efficient onboarding of new partners and lending experiences. The position involves collaboration across multiple teams to deliver secure and consistent lending solutions.
3. Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable backend services and platform capabilities supporting origination workflows
Enhance reliability, observability, and operational resilience of origination systems and APIs
Refactor legacy systems to create reusable, product-agnostic platform infrastructure
Develop orchestration and workflow solutions to streamline partner onboarding and reduce manual work
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Loan Sales
Lead technical design discussions and contribute to engineering best practices
Utilize AI-assisted development tools and automation to improve productivity
Participate in operational support and incident response, implementing long-term improvements
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, plus 4+ years of software engineering experience
6+ years building and operating backend services, APIs, or data-intensive systems in production
Experience managing software lifecycle from design to deployment and support
Proficiency in at least one modern backend development framework or language; ability to work with Ruby on Rails
Experience designing scalable and reliable distributed systems or workflow architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in fintech, lending, banking, or capital markets with high standards for data accuracy and reliability
Knowledge of orchestration platforms or workflow engines such as Temporal
Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and develop scalable automation tools
Skills in system observability, incident analysis, and production monitoring
Experience with AI-assisted development tools and automation frameworks
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Anticipated base salary range: $166,900—$230,900 USD, depending on geographic location, skills, and experience
Additional compensation includes target bonuses, equity, and benefits
