Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Reels & Video Editor based in Hyderabad. The Reels & Video Editor will be responsible for planning, editing, and producing short-form video content for social media platforms, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar channels. Daily tasks include assembling raw footage, adding transitions, effects, graphics, and music, and optimizing video length and format for engagement and brand consistency. The role involves close collaboration with the marketing and counseling teams to create content that highlights study abroad opportunities, student success stories, and educational resources. The Reels & Video Editor will also help manage content calendars, adapt videos for multiple platforms, and stay current with trends in social media and video storytelling.
Qualifications
Strong skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects or similar).
Experience creating short-form social media content, including Reels, Shorts, and TikTok-style videos, with an understanding of platform-specific formats and trends.
Ability to plan and storyboard content, collaborate on scripts, and align visuals with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
Good sense of pacing, sound design, and visual storytelling, including the use of music, text overlays, and transitions to improve engagement.
Basic knowledge of social media marketing principles, including audience engagement, hashtags, and content optimization.
Attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and receive constructive feedback.
Relevant experience in video editing or digital media; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is highly preferred.
Degree or formal training in film, multimedia, communications, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory.
