Staff Accountant
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year, based on experience
Reports to: Accounting Manager
Weeks Grp LLC is looking for an organized and dependable Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with financial reporting and closing activities. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and record general ledger journal entries.
Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance-sheet accounts.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare financial statements and internal reports.
Review financial records for accuracy and completeness.
Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with improving accounting procedures and internal controls.
Communicate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Two to four years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with QuickBooks Online is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
