EPAM's Data & AI Practice is hiring a Senior Product Manager specialized in Clinical Trials to help our clients turn operational, financial, and clinical trial data into interactive, decision-ready analytics and data products. You'll work closely with stakeholder teams across Data Reporting & Automation, Data Science Operations, Medical Safety, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, and Device Management, translating clinical trial data into dashboards, pipelines, and curated data products that clinical trial managers and functional leads rely on to run trials more effectively.
This role combines strategic engagement leadership with hands-on delivery. You will shape the analytics roadmap with client stakeholders and stay involved in the design and build of solutions that bring it to life across the clinical trial and patient lifecycle, including trial cost and resource tracking, site and patient recruitment, clinical monitoring, clinical data integration and standards, compliance and documentation analytics, and pharmacovigilance-related use cases. Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate consulting engagements end-to-end, owning delivery output, quality, and client satisfaction, or driving major pillars of broader clinical data and analytics transformation programs
Engage with customer stakeholders across Clinical Development and Clinical Trial Management, Clinical Data Management, Biometrics and Biostatistics, and R&D Data Science to discover data and analytics opportunities spanning the clinical trial data foundation, from operational reporting to advanced and AI-enabled analytics use cases. Design and facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to define and prioritize strategic and immediate needs
Define success measures with stakeholders at the outset and track value realization, adoption, and change management after go-live. Advise clients on data governance and on the roadmap for clinical trial analytics and data products
Map stakeholder vision and requirements to specific data products, platforms, and analytics solutions across the clinical trial data landscape, including trial operations and cost analytics, CRA and site monitoring analytics, site activation and patient recruitment analytics, EDC and DCT data integration, TMF and training compliance analytics, and pharmacovigilance-related analytics use cases. Apply the right delivery approach to each and drive collaborative ideation sessions with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to conceptualize target solutions
Envision, prototype, and oversee the implementation of analytical solutions based on deep clinical trial domain expertise (clinical operations, monitoring, data management, and regulatory requirements) and operational goals. Deliver solutions spanning site and patient lifecycle analytics, risk-based monitoring, recruitment and retention analytics, operational performance tracking, and multi-phase clinical trial analytics from Phase I through post-marketing activities
Drive discussions on data quality, governance, and standardization across clinical data sources (EDC, DCT/ePRO/wearable data, imaging/DICOM, TMF, LMS), including clinical data standards adoption and transformation activities such as CDISC-aligned data models and SDTM/ADaM mappings, helping clients build a reliable, reusable data foundation rather than fragmented point solutions
Engage with clients on broader dimensions such as value realization, data governance, operational change management, and defining a winning roadmap for clinical trial analytics and data products
Collaborate effectively with data engineering and architecture teams. Bring a strong conceptual understanding of modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks) and clinical data standards (CDISC: CDASH, SDTM, ADaM), bridging clinical operational needs with technical delivery while remaining hands-on with data modeling, transformation, and analytics where needed
As a trusted partner, participate in decisions regarding team structures, composition, and talent selection to ensure delivery excellence and optimal project staffing
Partner with account managers to build, grow, and retain strategic customer relationships
Partner with business development teams to support pre-sales and upsell initiatives, navigate ambiguity in early discovery phases, contribute to RFx responses, proposals, and client presentations
Requirements
10+ years of total experience in the data, analytics, and/or AI domain
5+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Pharma, or CRO environments, with hands-on work involving clinical trial data and a strong understanding of the clinical trial lifecycle, roles, and processes
Experience working directly with clinical trial data. Familiarity with clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC), EDC platforms (e.g., Medidata Rave, Veeva EDC, Oracle InForm), CTMS platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault CTMS, Medidata CTMS), and clinical analytics use cases such as trial operations and cost analytics, site monitoring, patient recruitment, compliance reporting, and pharmacovigilance analytics
Working knowledge of ICH E6 GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR/HIPAA requirements, and other relevant clinical trial regulatory frameworks
German, Spanish, or French language proficiency is a strong plus
Demonstrated experience managing data products for enterprises, including data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, BI, and advanced analytics solutions across the full product lifecycle
Demonstrated experience managing AI products and a clear understanding of how they differ from analytics products
Ability to facilitate and drive executive-level strategy discussions, including value articulation and value realization tracking
Experience working directly with end users, driving product design, running UATs, and measuring product adoption
Experience delivering projects involving Cloud Data Platforms, BI/Reporting, Data Catalogs and Marketplaces, Analytics Modernization, Predictive Analytics & ML, Generative AI, and Agentic Systems
Exposure to complex multi-market or cross-domain products and programs
Track record of leading project teams of 10+ professionals
Excellent communication and presentation skills, equally comfortable discussing technical details and executive-level business outcomes
Ability to manage customer expectations, present project deliverables to senior stakeholders, and confidently articulate both the opportunities and limitations of AI
Ability to transform a presales opportunity into a successful customer engagement
A genuine passion for the Data & AI space and a track record of staying ahead of industry trends
A growth mindset with a desire to continuously learn, experiment, and expand expertise as the Data & AI landscape evolves
Nice to have
Exposure to TMF systems (e.g., Veeva Vault) and LMS platforms
Experience with DCT platforms and remote/hybrid trial data sources
Experience handling imaging/DICOM data or other unstructured clinical data
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance platforms (e.g., Argus, ArisG, Veeva Safety) and Phase IV/post-marketing study analytics
Prior consulting or vendor-side delivery experience within the life sciences industry
