Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our Rajkot facility. This role supports the sales function by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and assisting in the preparation of proposals and quotations for water treatment and beverage turnkey projects. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with the technical and production teams to understand product specifications, conducting market research, and contributing to sales forecasts and performance reports. The Assistant Sales Manager will participate in client meetings and presentations, follow up on leads, manage documentation, and help ensure timely order execution and customer support. The role also involves maintaining sales CRM records, monitoring competitor activities, and supporting the Sales Manager in achieving revenue and growth targets.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including lead generation, customer relationship management, and negotiation.
Ability to understand technical product details related to water treatment plants and beverage packaging solutions, and translate them into clear client proposals.
Experience with market research, sales forecasting, and basic data analysis to support decision-making.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and professional correspondence.
Good organizational and time-management skills, including ability to handle multiple inquiries and projects simultaneously.
Comfort with using CRM or sales management tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and email communication platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; a background in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering is an advantage.
Prior experience in industrial equipment, water treatment, packaging, or FMCG/beverage sectors is preferred.
Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain a customer-focused, ethical sales approach.
