TalentX Workforce connects organisations with qualified professionals across local and international markets. We are expanding our recruitment network and seeking an experienced freelance IT recruiter currently based in Portugal.
This is a remote, contract-based opportunity for a recruiter who has strong knowledge of the Portuguese technology market and access to qualified IT professionals.
𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲
The selected recruiter will support TalentX Workforce on recruitment assignments in Portugal as they become available. Specific client information, vacancy details and candidate requirements will be shared privately after onboarding and before each assignment begins.
This is not a salaried or hourly position. It is a performance-based recruitment partnership, with the scope, deliverables and commission terms agreed before each assignment.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
• Source and contact qualified IT professionals in Portugal
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline
• Conduct initial candidate screening and pre-qualification
• Confirm candidates’ experience, technical skills and language proficiency
• Verify candidates’ location, availability, notice period and work eligibility
• Present suitable and properly screened candidate profiles
• Coordinate interviews and communicate updates to candidates
• Support the collection and verification of required documentation
• Conduct reference or background checks when assigned and legally permitted
• Support candidates throughout the interview and offer process
• Maintain accurate candidate records and provide regular progress updates
• Protect confidential client, candidate and commercial information
• Follow TalentX’s candidate-submission and communication procedures
𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
• Must currently be based in Portugal
• Fluent written and spoken Portuguese
• Strong written and spoken English
• At least two years of recruitment or talent-sourcing experience
• Proven experience recruiting IT or technology professionals
• Good understanding of the Portuguese employment market
• An established network or active pipeline of IT candidates in Portugal
• Experience using LinkedIn and other candidate-sourcing platforms
• Ability to assess candidates against technical and professional requirements
• Strong communication, organisation and follow-up skills
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed timelines
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
• Experience recruiting senior or specialist technology professionals
• Familiarity with multilingual recruitment
• Experience supporting documentation, reference checks or background checks
• Experience working with international recruitment companies or clients
• Knowledge of Portuguese hiring practices and relevant data-protection requirements
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
This is a performance-based freelance engagement. Compensation is commission-based and linked to successful recruitment outcomes.
The applicable commission will depend on the assignment, role, candidate salary and level of recruitment support provided. All terms will be confirmed in writing before work begins.

Client identities and complete vacancy details will only be disclosed to selected recruiters when necessary. The recruiter must not contact, represent or communicate with a TalentX client unless specifically authorised.
