Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Investment Research Intern. The intern will support investment analysis by researching companies, sectors, and capital market trends, with a particular focus on SME and pre-IPO opportunities in India. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and reviewing financial statements, assisting in financial modeling, preparing investment briefs and presentations, and contributing to due diligence on potential investments. The role also involves supporting the team in monitoring portfolio performance, tracking regulatory and market developments, and maintaining organized data and research repositories. The intern will collaborate closely with investment professionals, gaining exposure to institutional structuring, alternative investment vehicles, and primary market transactions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Finance knowledge, including familiarity with capital markets and investment concepts.
Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills for evaluating companies, industries, and market data.
Candidates should possess skills in Financial Statements analysis for assessing business performance and valuation drivers.
Candidates should possess experience or coursework in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting to understand forecasting and compliance requirements.
Strong proficiency in Excel and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint or similar) for modeling and reporting.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Detail-oriented, able to work independently in a remote environment, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Interest in India’s primary markets, SME ecosystem, and alternative investment platforms is highly beneficial.
