Role Description The Vice President of Business Development will lead growth strategy and revenue generation for NextGen Water Engineers in a full-time, remote capacity. This role includes identifying and developing new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships with educational institutions, industry organizations, and sponsors, and expanding the platform’s reach and offerings. The VP will oversee sales pipelines, negotiate contracts, and manage key accounts to ensure long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include business planning, market analysis, collaboration with content and marketing teams, and defining monetization models such as courses, memberships, and collaborations. The role also involves setting performance targets, monitoring results, and refining strategies to support sustainable growth and community impact.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in New Business Development and Business Planning to drive growth and shape long-term strategy.
Candidates should possess skills in Sales and Account Management to build relationships, manage partners, and maintain client satisfaction.
Candidates should possess skills in Contract Negotiation to secure favorable terms with sponsors, collaborators, and service providers.
Experience in the water, environmental, engineering, or education sectors is highly beneficial.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience in business development or commercial roles; a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
