About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead IT Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our dynamic Technology Organization. This role is based in Atlanta, GA, with potential remote work options. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and enhancing our Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions. As a key member of the Cyber Security team, the Lead IAM Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure the security and integrity of digital identities and access protocols. The role involves deploying and maintaining IAM systems, establishing governance workflows, and supporting modern access management solutions such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). This position offers an excellent opportunity to influence our security posture and leverage disruptive technologies to support our digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
8-10 years of professional experience in Identity Governance Administration (IGA) and security practices
Proven expertise with at least two IGA solutions such as SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity, etc.
Hands-on experience with IAM solutions including SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC), IdentityNow, BeyondTrust, Thycotic, CyberArk, Okta, Ping Federate, or similar tools
Strong understanding of Identity Lifecycle Management processes, onboarding and offboarding procedures
Proficiency with Active Directory, SSO, and modern authentication protocols (SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth)
Knowledge of cloud IAM platforms such as AWS IAM and related cloud security practices
Experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, Ruby, PowerShell
Solid skills in Java, XML, SQL, and BeanShell
Minimum 4 years of experience with AWS services including EC2 and Lambda
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA are a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of interfacing with both technical teams and executive leadership
Ability to work under pressure, with keen attention to detail and strategic thinking
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for IAM applications, including configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance
Design and implement IAM solutions supporting account creation, onboarding, deprovisioning, and access governance
Support the integration of multiple identity platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, and others
Develop and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) frameworks and birthright provisioning mechanisms
Establish and oversee access certification and governance workflows to ensure compliance
Conduct root cause analysis for IAM-related issues and recommend improvements to prevent future problems
Assist in the analysis of user and permission data, including testing and documentation for onboarding and re-permissioning activities
Support modernization initiatives for access control protocols and frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Operations, HR IT, and Security to grow and mature the IAM security program
Participate in identity migration projects, especially post-merger or acquisition activities
Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with security policies and standards
