About The Role
The Software & Data Quality Assurance Analyst I at NCCPA is a critical member of the quality assurance team responsible for testing software applications to ensure they adhere to design specifications and user requirements. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, manual, and automated testing procedures. The analyst will analyze test results for accuracy and completeness, participate in design reviews, defect triage meetings, and support customer acceptance testing. Additionally, the role includes assisting with software deployment planning and supporting change control processes to maintain the integrity of development, testing, and production environments. The position reports directly to the Manager of Software & Data Quality Assurance and plays a vital part in delivering high-quality software solutions that meet organizational standards and user expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in software development, research, product testing, quality assurance, or related areas
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
Develop and execute functional, regression, manual, and automated test cases to validate software applications against specifications and user requirements
Analyze test results for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, and communicate issues effectively to QA and development teams
Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and alignment with customer needs
Collaborate with software developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects identified during testing phases
Participate in design reviews, functional walkthroughs, defect triage meetings, and customer acceptance testing processes
Support test planning, scheduling, and execution across multiple application development projects
Assist with planning, implementation, and quality control activities related to software deployment
Support change control processes to preserve the integrity of various environments
Apply best practices and continuously develop knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
