Process Excellence and AI Enablement Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Process Excellence and AI Enablement Consultant to help transform our client's organisation into a tightly integrated, efficient and AI-ready business.
This is not a strategy or report-writing role. The Consultant will spend substantial time observing teams, understanding how work is actually done, mapping end-to-end processes and identifying where work slows down, gets duplicated, or depends on manual intervention. They will then own the redesign of priority workflows and lead implementation through to adoption.
The objective is to create connected ways of working across people, processes, systems and data. This includes simplifying workflows, improving hand-offs between functions, standardising data capture, integrating systems where needed, and preparing the organisation for practical automation and AI deployment.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Consultant will work across all functional areas and must be equally comfortable on the shop floor or in operational teams as in discussions with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Observe and Diagnose How Work Actually Happens
Spend time with frontline teams, managers and process owners to observe day-to-day operations and understand actual working practices.
Map end-to-end workflows across functions, including requests, approvals, hand-offs, tracking, decisions, exceptions and closure.
Identify manual work, duplicated activity, informal workarounds, unclear ownership, bottlenecks and delays.
Review the flow of information, data and documents across teams and systems, identifying where information is lost, delayed, re-entered or not usable.
Produce clear current-state process maps and a practical diagnostic of the key sources of inefficiency.
Design an Integrated, AI-Ready Operating Model
Redesign priority workflows to ensure clear ownership, standardised inputs, defined hand-offs, measurable service levels and auditable process steps.
Design processes with automation and AI in mind, ensuring information is structured, data is captured consistently and decision points are clearly defined.
Identify where systems are disconnected and recommend practical integration, workflow and automation solutions.
Define what AI readiness means for each function, including required data quality, process consistency, documentation and governance.
Develop a prioritised transformation roadmap, linking each improvement to expected benefits in productivity, quality, speed, control or customer/service outcomes.
Lead Implementation and Rollout
Own the implementation of redesigned workflows rather than simply recommending changes.
Run pilots with selected teams, resolve practical issues and refine workflows before broader rollout.
Work closely with functional leaders, internal technology teams and external partners to implement process, system and integration changes.
Develop SOPs, templates, controls and training materials that make the new processes easy to follow.
Train process owners and managers to lead adoption and sustain the new ways of working.
Establish KPIs, governance routines and review mechanisms to ensure improvements are maintained and expanded over time.
Success Measures
A clear, documented view of how work currently flows across priority functions.
A prioritised, CEO-ready roadmap for process integration, automation and AI enablement.
Redesigned workflows that are implemented, adopted and measurably more efficient.
Better integration between teams, systems and data, with reduced manual re-entry, duplication and delays.
Defined AI-ready processes with structured data, clear controls and practical automation opportunities.
Internal teams capable of sustaining and continuously improving the new operating model.
Required Experience and Skills
Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end process redesign and implementation in a growing company or operationally complex environment.
Strong ability to observe real operations, uncover root causes and translate findings into workable process changes.
Proven track record taking operational-improvement initiatives from diagnosis through implementation, adoption and measurable results.
Working knowledge of workflow automation, systems integration, APIs, ERP/CRM platforms and data structuring.
Understanding of the practical process and data foundations required for AI and automation adoption.
Strong process-mapping, SOP development, project-management and change-management capability.
Confidence engaging staff at all levels, from frontline operators to senior executives.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn operational detail into clear decisions and actions for leadership.
Preferred Background
Preferably from a manufacturing, industrial, supply chain or similarly operationally intensive business environment.
Hands-on experience improving shop-floor, production, quality, maintenance, procurement, planning, warehousing or logistics processes.
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence, continuous improvement, digital transformation or enterprise systems implementation.
Familiarity with workflow-automation, ERP, CRM, project-management and data-management platforms.
Experience working directly with CEOs or senior leadership teams on cross-functional transformation programmes.
This is a hybrid role with travel/stay in Yangon (Myanmar) . The consultant would have to balance his presence in the market and at his home location. All expenses will be covered by the employer.
