Role Description The Visa Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for guiding candidates and clients through end-to-end visa and immigration processes. The role includes counseling applicants on visa options and requirements, assisting with documentation, form filling, and application submissions, and coordinating with embassies, consulates, and relevant authorities. The Visa Counselor will maintain accurate records, track application statuses, and keep stakeholders informed of progress and next steps. This position also involves staying updated on changing immigration rules and policies, conducting consultations via in-person meetings and calls, and providing clear, compliant advice to ensure a smooth visa experience. The role requires close collaboration with internal recruitment teams to align visa support with international hiring and staffing needs.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of visa and immigration procedures, documentation requirements, and compliance standards for multiple countries.
Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance, build trust, and manage expectations with diverse applicants and clients.
Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills, including attention to detail, record-keeping, and the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Candidates should possess customer service and counseling skills, with a client-focused approach, problem-solving abilities, and a calm, professional demeanor under time-sensitive situations.
Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office and common online application portals, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
Relevant experience in visa counseling, immigration services, international education, or global mobility is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred; additional certifications in immigration, global mobility, or international education are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru and collaborate effectively with recruitment and staffing teams supporting global markets.
