About The Role
We are currently looking for a dependable and technically capable Website & SEO Technical Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with foundational computer training to gain practical experience in website operations, SEO monitoring, content management, and plugin testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. This role is not focused on web development or professional design but emphasizes technical support, website maintenance, and quality assurance tasks. Training will be provided to help the selected candidate understand our processes and tools, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a long-term career in website management and digital operations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of computer applications and a keen interest in website management and SEO. Formal education or training in computer science, information technology, or related fields is preferred. Candidates with COPA (Computer Operator and Programming Assistant) training through an ITI, BCA, B.Sc. in Computer Science or IT, Diploma in Computer Science, Polytechnic IT diploma, or MCA are strongly encouraged to apply. Prior experience with WordPress or digital tools is helpful but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided. The candidate must have reliable internet access and a suitable computer for daily operations. Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential, along with a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently and follow instructions meticulously is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this position encompass website operations, SEO monitoring, content management, and plugin testing. Specific tasks include:
Monitoring website keyword rankings and search visibility to track performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Reviewing Google Search Console data to analyze indexing status, impressions, clicks, and overall website health.
Preparing and maintaining regular SEO performance reports, including tracking changes in search rankings and website metrics.
Assisting in basic keyword research and competitive analysis to support SEO strategies.
Adding, updating, and formatting website content within WordPress, including articles, pages, images, and links.
Organizing content publishing schedules and ensuring that pages display correctly post-publication.
Optimizing images and making basic updates to titles, descriptions, and content as needed.
Creating and configuring WordPress websites using existing themes, including setting up menus, widgets, and website settings.
Installing, updating, and troubleshooting WordPress plugins, themes, and website components.
Performing routine website maintenance and troubleshooting common issues to ensure optimal performance.
Testing new plugins and website functionalities, including installing test versions, following testing protocols, and documenting results.
Reporting bugs, technical issues, or unexpected behaviors to the development team with detailed documentation and screenshots.
