Role Description The Internet of Things (IoT) Intern will support the design, development, and testing of IoT solutions that integrate with sodium-ion battery systems and related energy products. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with embedded device connectivity, implementing M2M (machine-to-machine) communication, and contributing to software components that enable monitoring, control, and data acquisition. The intern will work closely with engineers to analyze sensor data, debug system performance issues, document technical findings, and help validate prototypes in lab and field environments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and participation in hands-on hardware and software activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Internet of Things (IoT), including familiarity with connected devices, sensors, and IoT platforms.
Candidates should possess skills in M2M communication, such as working with communication protocols, device-to-device data exchange, and basic networking concepts.
Candidates should possess skills in Software Development, including programming in languages such as C/C++, Python, or JavaScript, and working with APIs or microcontroller environments.
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear documentation, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and professional interaction in lab and office settings.
Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with embedded systems, basic electronics, cloud or edge computing for IoT, and an interest in energy storage or battery technologies.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
