Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AWS DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS Cloud, Terraform, DevSecOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Event-Driven Architectures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, securing, and operating cloud-native platforms that support enterprise-scale applications and integrations. This is a technical individual contributor role, focused on infrastructure automation, platform engineering, cloud security, observability, reliability, and operational excellence using modern DevOps and GitOps practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud platforms in production environments.
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, including enterprise-scale infrastructure automation and reusable module development.
Strong experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, IAM, CloudWatch, and VPC services.
Hands-on experience designing and managing AWS networking architectures, including VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, NAT Gateways, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, VPNs, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
Strong knowledge of application traffic management and content delivery services, including Application Load Balancers (ALB), Network Load Balancers (NLB), CloudFront, and API Gateway.
Experience building and managing secure CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Bamboo, or similar platforms.
Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and cloud-native deployment practices.
Experience supporting event-driven architectures and messaging platforms including Kafka, AWS MSK, RabbitMQ, or equivalent technologies.
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), RBAC, SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Single Sign-On (SSO), and enterprise federation architectures.
Hands-on experience implementing cloud security controls, including AWS WAF, AWS Shield, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability management, audit logging, and compliance frameworks.
Experience implementing and managing observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and dashboarding using tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, or equivalent platforms.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, platform resiliency, high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery strategies, and performance optimization.
Experience performing capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, business continuity planning, and operational readiness assessments.
Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of DevOps, GitOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Security, and Cloud Governance best practices.
Experience driving FinOps initiatives, including cloud cost optimization, resource utilization analysis, tagging strategies, budget governance, and cost reporting.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions for mission-critical systems.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments while collaborating with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Product teams.
