Role Description The Fire Fighting Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed design drawings and calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring designs meet relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and external stakeholders, reviewing technical documents, and providing design support during installation and commissioning. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ahmedabad, requiring regular collaboration with the engineering team and visits to project sites as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design to develop effective and compliant fire protection layouts and solutions.
Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering knowledge for hydraulic calculations, equipment selection, and system performance analysis.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating accurate drawings, schematics, and design documentation.
Candidates should possess understanding of Electrical Engineering principles for coordination of fire alarm, detection, and control systems.
Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local building regulations) and basic knowledge of safety and risk assessment.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret technical specifications and project requirements.
Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire and Safety Engineering, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in fire protection design or building services engineering is an advantage.
