Role Description The Sales Manager role at Bajaj Life is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to achieve individual and branch-level targets for life insurance products across various customer segments. The Sales Manager will plan and execute sales strategies, monitor performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and drive continuous improvement in sales processes. Daily activities include coaching and mentoring consultants, building and maintaining relationships with customers and distribution partners, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company compliance standards. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and customer service to enhance customer experience and support sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development skills, including target planning, pipeline management, and negotiation abilities.
Experience in team leadership, performance management, and coaching in a sales or financial services environment.
Proficiency in customer relationship management, consultative selling, and stakeholder management.
Ability to analyze sales data, prepare reports, and use insights to drive strategic decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
Prior experience in life insurance, banking, or financial services is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus.
Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems, and willingness to adopt new sales technologies and platforms.
Results-oriented mindset, integrity in handling customer finances, and strong commitment to regulatory and ethical standards.
