Wilmarcs Motion Pictures is looking for an experienced people leader who can help us build, nurture and strengthen the creative team behind our films.
This is not a conventional HR position focused only on recruitment, documentation and policies.
We need someone who understands that creative professionals—including editors, filmmakers, producers and interns—require clarity, encouragement, honest feedback, structured development and strong leadership to consistently produce their best work.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Build a continuous talent pipeline for editors, filmmakers, creative producers, cinematographers, interns and other production roles
• Understand our creative and technical requirements before sourcing and evaluating candidates
• Design effective onboarding plans for new employees and interns
• Conduct regular employee check-ins and identify concerns relating to motivation, performance, communication, workload and retention
• Create structured learning and development journeys for interns and emerging creative talent
• Work closely with department heads to establish clear expectations, responsibilities and performance goals
• Help managers deliver constructive feedback and handle difficult conversations professionally
• Build systems for performance reviews, recognition, employee engagement and career progression
• Strengthen communication and collaboration across creative, production, operations and business teams
• Protect and develop a culture of high care, high clarity and high accountability
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Approximately 5–8 years of experience in People & Culture, Talent Management, HR Business Partnering or a related leadership role
• Strong experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management and learning and development
• Experience working in a video production company, advertising agency, creative studio, media company or fast-moving startup is strongly preferred
• An ability to understand creative roles and evaluate candidates beyond what is written on their résumé
• Strong emotional intelligence, maturity and discretion
• Someone who can listen with empathy while maintaining accountability
• A practical problem-solver who is comfortable building systems in a growing organization
• Experience working closely with founders and senior leadership
• Previous experience building a company, business unit or people function would be an added advantage
