Role Description This is a remote contract role for an Artificial Intelligence Engineer (Freelancer). The AI Engineer will design, develop, and implement machine learning and deep learning models to support cybersecurity analytics and threat detection. Daily tasks include building and optimizing algorithms for pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and NLP-driven insights from logs, alerts, and incident reports. The role involves collaborating with cybersecurity specialists to understand security use cases, integrating AI models into existing tools and platforms, and evaluating model performance against real-world data. The engineer will document technical solutions, maintain clean and secure code, and contribute to ongoing innovation in AI-powered security services.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and secure coding practices.
Experience with Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, particularly for anomaly detection and classification tasks.
Hands-on expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for analyzing text-based security data such as logs, alerts, and incident reports.
Proficiency with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and data processing tools (e.g., Python, SQL).
Ability to work independently in a remote, contract-based setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying AI models in production environments is advantageous.
