About the Internship
As a Management Consulting Intern, you'll work on realistic consulting engagements — diagnosing client problems, building fact packs, benchmarking performance, and crafting recommendations for realistic company scenarios.
You'll learn how consultants work — hypothesis-led analysis, structured communication, the pyramid principle, data-driven insight generation, and turning complexity into clear, actionable advice.
Responsibilities
* Frame business problems with structured issue trees and hypothesis trees.
* Build fact packs: collect, clean, and synthesize data into clear exhibits.
* Benchmark client performance against industry peers and best practices.
* Develop hypotheses and test them with data and targeted research.
* Analyze processes and identify operational improvement opportunities.
* Build business cases with cost-benefit framing and sensitivity checks.
* Map stakeholders and understand decision-making dynamics.
* Draft structured memos and one-pagers using the pyramid principle.
* Design slide decks that tell a clear story with a "so what" on every page.
* Interview realistic client stakeholders and synthesize key takeaways.
* Run SWOT, five-forces, and value-chain analyses for realistic scenarios.
* Pressure-test recommendations with risks, assumptions, and alternatives.
* Present findings in realistic client-style update meetings.
* Collaborate with other interns on team-based case engagements.
* Track progress against milestones in a consulting-style work plan.
Requirements
* Current student or recent graduate in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field — or a strong self-taught portfolio of projects.
* Strong interest in management consulting and structured problem-solving.
* Analytical thinking with comfort around data, frameworks, and trade-offs.
* Clear, concise writing — able to turn analysis into recommendations.
* Comfort working with ambiguity and sharpening vague client questions.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and professional polish.
* Familiarity with spreadsheets and slide decks is a plus.
* Previous consulting experience is not required.
