HPC/AI Data Center Technician

2. About the Opportunity:
The HPC/AI Data Center Technician is a field-based specialist responsible for building high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and enterprise solutions according to prescribed plans. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of data center operations and infrastructure to deliver outcomes that exceed client expectations.
3. Responsibilities:
Assess client needs and recommend solutions using multi-vendor hardware and software.
Demonstrate expertise in storage, networking, data protection, and digital archiving technologies.
Develop and verify rack elevations, cable layouts, and physical hardware arrangements.
Install server, storage, network, and related equipment onsite at remote client locations.
Cable and label network cabling within the data center environment.
Perform basic server and network administration including OS and ILO configuration.
Define professional services deliverables and set clear client expectations.
Document installation processes comprehensively.
Obtain advanced expertise and certifications relevant to the solution stack used.
4. Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of data center experience.
At least 5 years installing network/server hardware and structured cabling.
Knowledge of Layer 2 and 3 networking and troubleshooting skills.
Basic Linux understanding.
Ability to lift 50 to 70 pounds and move equipment for extended periods.
Expert knowledge of advanced computer hardware, software, and services.
Strong communication, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work remotely, independently, and travel up to 50% of the time.
Authorization to work full-time in the United States.
University undergraduate degree preferred.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Estimated salary range $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
