1. About Our Client:

2. About the Opportunity:
The Director of Accounting is a senior individual contributor role responsible for advancing accounting and finance initiatives that improve financial reporting, business insights, and operational processes. This position plays a key part in supporting growth, new product launches, and system modernization by leading cross-functional projects and serving as a trusted finance partner who translates complex accounting and operational needs into practical solutions.
3. Responsibilities:
Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects including system implementations and finance modernization.
Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
Identify and implement automation and process improvements using AI and workflow tools.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams on system enhancements and reporting automation.
Support change management and adoption of new tools and processes.
Ensure automation solutions incorporate data quality, controls, auditability, and governance.
Develop and prepare financial analytics for monthly and quarterly reviews.
Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and business drivers.
Support financial reporting adhering to U.S. GAAP, statutory, and industry standards.
Influence senior leaders and stakeholders through data-driven insights and credible judgment.
Facilitate alignment and consensus across teams on accounting and financial matters.
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, ERP/reporting systems, and AI-enabled finance tools.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration.
Experience driving automation, process improvement, or finance transformation.
Advanced analytical skills to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership presentations.
Technology curiosity and AI fluency.
Change management and adoption leadership skills.
Data-driven decision-making capability.
Control-oriented and process automation mindset.
Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
Accountability and independent problem-solving.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
$103,800.00 - $173,300.00
