What you'll be doing:
Join Avon and play a key role in delivering a seamless, accurate, and compliant payroll experience for our employees across China. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, drive process improvements, and contribute to an exceptional employee experience.
You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring payroll, tax, social insurance, and related data are processed accurately and on time. Acting as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries, you'll work closely with employees, managers, vendors, and internal teams to maintain compliance, strengthen controls, and improve data quality. You'll also support payroll and benefits administration, contribute to process improvements, and help drive operational excellence across People Services.
This position is offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract.
Key responsibilities:
Collecting and preparing payroll data for processing.
Validating payroll, tax, social insurance, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Monitoring payroll cycles and supporting timely payroll delivery
Managing benefits administration, insurance programs, and related payments.
Preparing statutory reports and supporting regulatory compliance activities.
Partnering with payroll and benefits vendors, including contract renewal support.
Supporting payroll and benefits system enhancements, testing, and implementations.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and service delivery.
Resolving payroll and benefits-related employee queries.
What we're looking for:
2-3 years of experience in Payroll, HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR Administration.
Experience working with HR systems such as Workday or other HRIS platforms.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for delivering excellent employee experiences while driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Amenable to join on a 3-year fixed-term contract
