Role Description The Agency Manager is responsible for building, managing, and mentoring a team of insurance advisors to achieve sales and growth objectives for Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance in the Manipur region. This full-time, on-site role involves recruiting and onboarding new agents, setting performance targets, and providing regular training and coaching on products, processes, and sales techniques. The Agency Manager will plan and drive business development activities, monitor sales performance, and ensure high standards of customer service and policyholder support. Day-to-day tasks include conducting field visits, supporting advisors in client meetings, tracking market trends, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to support product promotion, resolve operational issues, and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales or agency management within insurance, financial services, or related sectors, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
Strong people management and leadership abilities, including experience in recruiting, training, and motivating field teams or advisors.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build trust with customers, advisors, and internal stakeholders.
Sound understanding of life insurance products, basic financial concepts, and customer needs across different life stages.
Ability to work independently in an on-site, field-focused role, with strong planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant professional certifications in insurance or financial planning are an advantage.
Familiarity with local markets in Manipur and willingness to travel within the region for meetings, training, and business development activities.
Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for reporting, performance tracking, and customer engagement.
